Tile "chebbi-chic" in interior design

Shabby-Chic in translation means "shabby luxury." This elegant style was invented by a housewife and connoisseur of antiques Rachel Ashevel. The interior of the chebbi-chic stylistics is not simple, it balances between aristocraticism, luxury and “dilapidated antiquity”. Many had to taste outrageous, but gentle and in English restrained direction in design.

The interior has soft pastel shades, noble dilapidation of the walls, frayed tiles, expensive flooring, the presence of antiques. Shebbi-chic borrowed the best of Provence, Baroque, retro, combining romance, comfort, antiquity and luxury. The room, decorated with Chebbi-chic tiles, delights with plenty of light and air. But the color scheme suggests the presence of color not in its pure form, but in a slightly dull interpretation with a touch of antiquity. For this purpose, the tiles are specially aged. The design is characterized by delicate shades of blue, pink, smoky white, lilac and cream tones.

Acceptable participation of several equally warm shades in the interior. Shebbi-chic does not like contrasts and bright combinations. Sometimes in abundance of pastel color interspersed tile with a subtle floral ornament or an abstract pattern with blurred outlines.Cladding does not allow dark tones, but their use is possible in the decor, for example, in the design of forged furniture handles, antique figurines or dishes.

The tile is made with the participation of clay, sand and other natural materials, pressed and fired at high temperature. The result is a durable, moisture-resistant material, which is used in rooms with high humidity: bathroom, kitchen, bathroom, hallway.

• On the walls of the bathroom is a tile with a blurry pattern. Copies of plot ceramics are randomly inserted. Islands of a monochromatic coating match the color of the floor. The impression is very old interior. It seems that we had to redo the fragments of the walls with lost copies.

• The kitchen-living room in the style of chebbi-chic is represented by floor tiles of light beige color. Ceramics apron a few tones above the shade of the floor. The room is bright, spacious, with well thought out decor.
