Belvedere was originally called the superstructure above the house. Subsequently, the same word began to be called a separate structure. A Belvedere can have any geometry, but most often a circle is used.

The Belvedere is usually located on a hill and is a small building in the Italian style. It can be erected in the form of a structure with openwork walls or columns located along the perimeter.

A small structure with a colonnade in a circle is called a rotunda.. This type of gazebo is extremely round. It was originally built without walls, but in modern execution between the columns can be constructed railings and low walls.

According to the architectural rules, such a structure is crowned with a dome of the same material as the whole building.

Another popular type of small architectural forms - altanka. This building has decorative walls. Initially, the part of the belvedere was called altanka, but now it has become an independent architectural element. Just like a belvedere, it can have absolutely any shape, but it looks most impressive in a round design.

According to their design, arbors are divided into three types.
