Rubberized carpet consists of three layers:

• Lower made of artificial latex or its mixture with rubber, during operation, it absorbs. Due to this, the top pile layer is subjected to load and abrasion less than that of hard coatings.
• Average - the connecting layer consisting of artificial fibers with latex, in it threads of pile are fixed. This layer does not allow moisture to absorb, absorbing no more than 5%. Due to this quality, rubber-based products can be used in high humidity conditions.

Latex carpeting is produced in two ways.

Needle punch method fastening nap threads cheaper than tufting, and products made by this method have not such high wear resistance. The process also uses needles, but of a different shape and size. They have no ears, but there are notched notches, thanks to which the threads are seized and pulled on the wrong side through the middle layer. When this happens, they are tangled and the threads are fixed in the base, which is then impregnated with a special compound and connected with a lower latex layer with a press.

By type of use, carpet with rubber base is:

• Commercial - especially durable and wear-resistant coating, which is designed for high throughput and can be used outdoors. It is used in outdoor venues, exhibitions, in cafes, as well as for covering ramps and steps, lined with tiles that have a slippery surface;
• Domestic. Suitable for rooms with a small load. The house can be used in the kitchen, hallway, study, bathroom, loggia or balcony. This type of carpet is cheaper than commercial, pile density is not as dense and durable, but for rooms with low traffic permits, it is quite suitable;
• Semi-commercial - for medium and moderate load, stronger and more durable than domestic, but inferior in commercial performance. Ideal for offices, registry offices, hotels and gyms. Due to sound-absorbing properties, it can be used in rooms where silence is required - in the reading room of a library or a chess club, as well as in institutions where insulation is required due to the specifics of their work, for example, in a billiard room, to muffle the sound of balls athletics.

There are three ways to lay rubber-based carpets:

• With fixing plinths. The easiest way that anyone can perform. First of all, you need to free the room, carefully vacuum it and do a wet cleaning. Then, when the floor is dry, roll out the carpet and trim the surplus to the size of the room. Next, you need to leave the cover for an hour, which will allow him to finally finish. After that, you should fix the baseboard around the perimeter of the room, securely fixing the carpet;
• With the use of glue. After preliminary preparation of the floor, it is required to prime it with a roller with the help of PVA glue or any other suitable for a rubber base. Next, apply the adhesive on the latex layer of carpet at the rate of 500 g per square meter. Lay the cover and walk on it with a rubber roller to eliminate folds. This method requires some experience and is the most difficult and time consuming;
