Fluffy carpets are a key part of the design of many rooms. Thanks to this type of coating, you can change any gender, emphasizing its individuality. These accessories are not as simple as they seem, they are quite capricious, they comply with certain requirements for complete harmony and have a number of features.

Fluffy carpets are a unique design solution. They are far from the analogs of the Soviet era, in most cases casting boredom and spoiling the whole idea of ​​the interior. This is a modern type of flooring, the main difference of which is the method of implementation and the length of the pile.

Unlike lint-free carpets, which involve only two threads (longitudinal and transverse), shaggy carpets are more difficult to manufacture.

Their texture is created from three threads:

• main;
• forming nodule;
• locking knot.

The pattern of such a carpet is created by knots, which are fixed on the threads of the base (seamy side) according to the figure.

Depending on the method of creation, depending on the base, fluffy carpets can be:

• wicker - in which the created nodules bend around the warp;
• typing - created in a needle-punched way;
• made of separate fragments (pompons).

Carpet models with fluffy pile are varied. Today, a long-nap carpet is a model that has a pile length of 3 to 8 cm. It is not just long fibers of the same size: the pile can be multi-level, have a smooth or twisted structure.

The main types of pile can be divided into several groups, differing in length and structure:

• "Frieze" - a pile with a length of 3-5 cm, characterized by torsion of fibers ("curly", spiral);
• cut-loop - the pile of the combined multi-level type with a length of 4 to 8 cm, which is a mix of long cut villi and low loops;
• "Saxony" - a pile of 3-5 cm in length, cut from curly elements, having the same height (single-level twisted version);
• shaggy (shaggy) - an alternative to the Saxon pile with the only difference: the pile has a different level of thickness.

There are carpets with a shorter (2.5 cm) and longer pile length (up to 10 cm).

Having a special material texture, these products have a number of advantages. Such carpets:

• regardless of the type of room they create a relaxing atmosphere, bringing home comfort to the room;
• consist of fibers of natural and synthetic origin, differing in composition, structure of each material, pile length, wear resistance and maintenance conditions;
• depending on the model, they are manufactured in an automated way on a special machine or manually, at home with the help of available tools;

• may have a classic and non-standard form, being a single-level or multi-level product (they can be in the form of a rectangle, square, oval, circle, rhombus, huge insect, animal, large children's toy, modular product, etc.);
• can be self-contained or decorated with various fittings (fringe, tassels, pom-poms);
• are modest monophonic or multi-colored contrast, with a classic or fantasy design in the form of a pattern of different subjects and size;

• depending on the length of the pile, they differ in height, are made of yarn, fur, another pile;
• in a different design they are able to fit in well with any interior style (there is enough emphasis on the pattern or color scheme of the carpet, repeated in the furniture or room decor);
• they are a favorite theme of craftsmanship by skilled craftswomen from all over the world, allowing for the realization of any idea that is not limited in creative design, which later often are used by creative designers;
• based on the cost and quantity of raw materials used, they differ in different prices, allowing the buyer to purchase an option for their room that can create the right atmosphere, taking into account the available budget.

Attracting its fluffy and pleasant touch, such products can decorate different types of rooms. Soft pile has a relaxing, massage effect for the feet, but it is worth bearing in mind that they are not intended for rooms with high traffic.

When buying a pile length is an important factor: it determines the location of the carpet in the house:

• Choosing a model for the bedroom, prefer long-haired options;

• Models for the nursery differ in average length of pile;

• Small options for the fireplace area floor preferably the average length of the pile;

• Living Room Products differ in medium or small pile, and in most cases they are small in size, being acquired for a specific zone.

Such models are completely unsuitable for the hallway, where the main dirt is collected from the street, or the kitchen, where cleaning is done more often, crumbs are constantly falling on the floor, tea or coffee can be spilled, daily cleaning is done.

With external beauty, excellent design characteristics, they have several drawbacks:

• are deformed under heavy furniture, not always restoring the original structure after rearrangement;
• in some cases they tend to accumulate static electricity, which is harmful for the body;
• unstable to ultraviolet radiation, which adversely affects the appearance and can lead to loss of product quality;
• due to the length of the pile can hide in itself small items that are difficult to get rid of when cleaning (for example, crumbs);
• models with a long pile and a large size are more difficult to transport and require a complete lack of furniture during spreading.

In addition, some models that have a certain asymmetrical pattern need to respect the direction of the pattern.

The color palette of fluffy carpets is unlimited.Thanks to modern types of dyes today the color of the product can be any: from the usual classics to creativity. However, designers exclude poisonous colors from the palette: mutedness, saturation, and the absence of acid are in fashion, which can destroy any design idea.

Among the favorites of the season are monochrome colors (black, white, gray and gray, gray with blue undertones) and their combination (melange of gray and black shades gives a stunning effect). Among the soft shades of the palette, lilac, pink, beige, sand, brown, burgundy, orange and olive tones stand out.

Homemade shaggy and fluffy carpets are replete with cheerful paints. Among them, the most popular are terracotta, orange, green, blue, blue, yellow, purple, red tones and fuchsia.

Depending on the raw materials used, carpets can have a different basis. In natural models, cotton cloth is used, in artificial versions, vinyl or rubber. Making a fluffy carpet in a homely way allows for a different base material. These are usually abrasion resistant yarns, in some cases rolled bath mats,mosquito net, plain knitted fabric or multi-layer woven version of threads (carpets of pompons).

Depending on the material chosen, a fluffy carpet is made of:

• Wool (camel, goat, sheep). A great variety of material, characterized by "dry" heat, which provides the right climate for the feet, regardless of the room temperature. Such products are dense, durable, warm, perfectly absorb sound, are able to absorb and immediately give up excess moisture in the air. However, they are allergenic, prone to the appearance of moths, need to be aired.

• Acrylic. Pleasant to the body synthetic material with some properties similar to wool, which differs from natural fiber is hypoallergenic. This carpet is suitable for any family member from the elderly to children. It does not accumulate static electricity, is resistant to moisture and mold, but less wear-resistant.

• The cotton. Natural material that does not irritate the skin and does not cause allergies, however, it absorbs moisture quite well, is inferior in quality and practicality to wool and acrylic, and therefore does not provide for long life. It is easier to clean and dry.When buying more often sold in blended version with wool or synthetic additive.

• Polypropylene, polyester and olefin. These materials are a bit like wool, although not as warm. Due to the low cost, they are favorites of the main line and have a wide range of models. Carpets made of these materials are easier to maintain, have less weight, almost always bright, attractive and resistant to mechanical cleaning. However, they electrify, poorly tolerate moisture and direct sunlight.

• Nylon This material is resistant to dirt, unpretentious to cleaning, has a high texture strength, withstands intensive operation. It is easier to care for such a nap, although its durability is lower than that of natural analogues.

When buying a soft shaggy carpet with a fluffy, long pile it is worth considering a few nuances:

• a high-class carpet always has a passport with information on density and proper care;
• the base must be dense or well knit, its sizing is unacceptable (the greater the density, the longer the service life and the higher the quality);
• a sharp, suffocating smell indicates the presence of harmful chemical dyes, which is bad for health;
• Between the choice of jute or felt base, the second should be preferred (it is more practical);
• a quality carpet has elastic fibers (such a pile quickly recovers its shape), therefore the carpet is resistant to impressions and deformations;
• the texture of the material should be homogeneous, without thorny inclusions and lumps (any change indicates a poor-quality pile and reduced service life);
