• edged board 25x100 cm - 2.6 p. m;
• wooden shield 60x240 cm;
• mounts.

From the tool:

• a circular saw;

Manufacturing technology:

• Next, determine the width of the bed. Here you need to cut off two boards 50x100 cm, equal to the width of the mattress. It is worth adding 3 cm in length so that bedding can be easily laid on the base and removed. We also add 3 cm to the length of the mattress and cut off two more boards of 50x100 cm. We fasten all four boards to the fixings that we have installed on the legs.

• If you are building a double bed, then it is worth making a longitudinal beam in the middle of the bed so that the mattress does not fall through and the base does not crack.
• Further the bed basis is made. For this, boards of 25x75 cm are used. They are packed at a distance of about 5 cm between them. This is done to ensure that the mattress is well ventilated, and the base gives additional cushioning when changing body position during sleep.

Operating procedure:

• We cut off two boards with a length equal to the width of the bed, including side planks and two boards with a size corresponding to the length of the frame. For this we use boards with a section of 25x200 cm. We glue the finish with wood glue. Make sure that the top of the board coincides with the top of the leg bar. We fasten with clamps for the period of glue drying.
• Now is the top side of the bed. This will require a board with a width corresponding to the width of the timber of the legs plus the thickness of the decoration board. Sawed necessary width and length of four boards. From the edges, bevels are made at a 45 degree angle.
• The frame of the bed, so that the upper trim is not broken, when you sit down on the bed, it is necessary to strengthen the ribs. To do this, we cut off parts equal to the height of the side panels from a timber section of 50x50 cm, the size is taken from the base of the bed. Such bars need to make 20 pieces. They are attached to the screws to the base.

• Then the upper boards are glued and fastened with clamps.
• After the glue dries, it is necessary to plaster all the joints. Use for this you need a special grout, which is intended for plastering wooden structures. After the mortar has dried, it is necessary to go through the whole bed with an emery paper to polish the irregularities.
• With a brush with a long pile, we sweep the message out of the bed and proceed to painting.
• To do this, use the stain. You can choose any color, it depends on the interior of your bedroom.If you want to get a bed of rich dark color, then you should apply several layers of coating. Then the bed should be varnished. You can use both matte and glossy finish.
