Beds from the massif of a tree with the lifting mechanism

Wood is the most eco-friendly and practical material for creating furniture. If we talk about beds, wooden models not only create harmony and peace in the bedroom. They have a beneficial effect on sleep and serve for dozens of years. Beds made of solid wood with a lifting mechanism - this is the golden mean, which is ideal for a bedroom (especially a small one).

Special features

Beds have a mass of mass "for" and "against." That only is the energy of natural wood, which literally sets up to relax, rest and looks very good in the bedroom. Here are the main features of such products:

  • Environmental friendliness. In the beds of 100% solid wood there are no harmful impurities and toxic substances (if the wood was not processed by them in the manufacture of furniture, and it is usually not processed by them).

Coniferous trees have an additional advantage - they emit essential oils even after leaving the furniture factory. They normalize sleep and promote relaxation.

  • Durability and durability. Models from the array will not sprawl over time into the parties, and they serve for several decades (20-30 years) - unlike MDF, which fails after 5-6 years.
  • Security. The furniture from a natural tree does not emit harmful impurity and does not harm health of vacationers. Wood is easy to process - you can cut out shapes from it and shape it, create a comfortable and safe bed for all parameters.
  • Saves space. This is the ideal furniture that is functional in all respects: it is comfortable, practical, looks good in the interior and creates additional space right under the bed. Inside this bed there is an additional storage niche that does not give out in any way.
  • Gives pleasant tactile sensations and creates home comfort.
  • Suitable for any style in the interior

Like any other furniture, beds from an array have several disadvantages: high price, considerable weight, long production time (especially if such furniture is custom made or simply not in stock from the manufacturer), they require some care.

Because wood is a living material,it does not tolerate too high humidity in the room or dryness. It can crack, swell, but only in harsh conditions for it.

Materials

One can talk about the nobility of wooden furniture forever, and this “living” material is different. Beds from the massif can be made of various materials - tree species:

  • Pines - the most affordable material that is easy to process and has plasticity. Beds from solid pine differ in low cost, natural light shade and pleasant coniferous aroma which unobtrusively remind of the origin of furniture.
  • Ash tree - elastic and durable material with a grayish tint.
  • Alder - material with a reddish tinge.
  • Oak tree - durable and solid raw materials. Oak "to the last" retains its properties and does not lose its attractive appearance, it is resistant to various (especially mechanical) damage, which means that the price for an oak bed will be higher.
  • Beech tree - Another contender for the best role. This breed of tree is famous for its interesting reddish tint and is relatively easy to process (when steaming), retains its shape and serves 20, 30 and even more years.

Softwoods include pine, linden, aspen and spruce. This is the material that is easier to various damage and especially mechanical. Hardwoods include oak, beech, walnut, ash and birch - beds made from these materials are more resistant to damage.

Dimensions

Double beds have standard berth sizes: 140 × 200, 160 × 200 cm, 180 × 200 cm, 200 × 200 cm.

Please note that the parameters of the bed, that is, the mattress, are indicated, and the dimensions of the bed itself may differ from those indicated.

Beds from an array of more than 8-12 cm - this place is occupied by the frame of the bed and its back. The wooden back is usually less than 4–5 cm thick, while models with a textile headboard can “steal” up to 20 cm of room space. Single models have the most different dimensions: usually their length is 190-200 cm, and the width starts from 90 cm and lasts up to 140 cm - the size of the "lorry".

Classic wood

Stylish laconic models of wood, the frame of which is made of natural wood and has nothing superfluous - neither textile upholstery nor carved elements.

Such models look especially good in the modern direction and high-tech style and others, when the emphasis is not on the bed, but on the decoration or decor of the bedroom.

If we talk about the interesting forms of the bed, then it can have a high and / or carved headboard - as a contrasting element.

Padded headboard

Beds with a soft back and upholstered frame look particularly good in the classics and all modern interiors. But the furniture fabric or leather on its “facade” covers the tree, therefore the expediency of choosing a bed from an array is questioned, if we speak not only about the quality characteristics of the bed.

How to choose?

To start the search for the perfect bed is to determine the style and parameters of the room, more precisely - the size of the future bed. You should not save on the width of the bed - choose 140 cm instead of the desired 180 cm. The first (and most important) its purpose - to make sleep quality and long. To make the choice of a bed with a lifting mechanism simple and successful, you should use the following algorithm:

  • Type of mechanism. The most common and reliable - lifting mechanism for gas shock absorbers or gas lift. The lifts are notable for silent and easy operation, soft opening and closing of the storage space, reliability, safety and long service life - about 10 years.
  • Orthopedic base - it has almost 100% of modern models. It is made of a metal frame and lamellae - small birch plates capable of withstanding the load of a mattress and a person. Choose a base with 24-26 lamellas.
  • The weight that the bed can support. It depends on the base of the bed, which can withstand a load from 100 kg to 240 kg per bed. Do not forget about the weight of the mattress - it must also be taken into account.
  • Frame and frame. Choose a frame with a thickness of about 6 cm.
  • Coupling box. Strong and reliable models have at least three additional sidewalls that divide the box into 2 compartments and prevent it from spreading.
  • Material. Oak and beech - one of the most expensive wood, but also the most solid, durable in terms of its capabilities. The most budget models of beds from the massif with the lifting mechanism are a pine and other coniferous breeds: they differ in softness and compliance to mechanical damages
