Enamel HV-785: technical characteristics

 Enamel HV-785: technical characteristics

There is a wide variety of paints and varnishes on the market, including enamels. A special place among them is occupied by the HV-785 modification, which is distinguished by a number of attractive characteristics.

It is necessary to take into account the basic subtleties of using the material, because ignoring such moments turns into unpleasant things.

Special features

Enamel is made on the basis of polyvinyl chloride resin. The purpose of using the mixture is to coat the surfaces of reinforced concrete slabs, concrete and metal, which are pre-treated with a primer. These surfaces are in an open place or indoors - does not matter. But for street work you can only use black and red-brown compositions.

Technical characteristics of enamel provide its stability under the action of:

  • carbon dioxide;
  • sulfur dioxide;
  • chlorine gas.

Totally acid-resistant coating can not be called. But still it reduces the harmful effects of sulfuric, hydrochloric and phosphoric acid (provided that the air is heated not higher than 60 degrees). Standard colors - black, white, red-brown, gray.

Consumers can order the enamel of a different color, but this requires prior approval.

Reviews of paintwork materials are generally favorable. Enamel has a certificate of conformity.

Basic practical properties

XB-785 reaches the third degree of drying at room temperature in 60 minutes, and the fifth degree at most after 24 hours. The concentration of non-volatile substances is determined by the color of the mixture, and depending on it can be from 24 to 36%. The created film layer is elastic (it is allowed to change its size during thermal expansion or compression by 1 mm).

Consumption per 1 m² averages 0.114-0.146 kg of the mixture (if the work is carried out in one layer in normal conditions provided for by the instructions). The layer has a thickness of 17 to 24 microns.

Drying time before applying each subsequent layer is approximately 60 minutes (at room temperature).Black enamel is consumed in the amount of 0.06 kg per 1 square. m. If white paint is used, its costs will be 0.09, and if yellow, then 0.15 kg per 1 square meter. The surface to be trimmed should not have any signs of corrosion.

It should be noted that the XB-785 can easily catch fire, since it includes:

  • butyl acetate;
  • acetone;
  • owl

Since the solvents used in enamel production contain various lead compounds, they can be dangerous to humans. This makes the general and local ventilation of the rooms absolutely necessary. And even in such conditions it is impossible to work without individual protection.

If the paint material suddenly ignites, you can extinguish it with scum, sand, chemical foam.

Standard conditions of application provide that the air in the working area should be no colder than -10 and no warmer than + 30 degrees.

How to apply?

Permissible relative humidity of air - 80%. If the mixture is applied to the surface initially coated with a primer, it retains its qualities for 5-6 years.

To prepare the base, you need to use shot blasting or sandblasting machines. If it is not possible to use them, it is recommended to use the cord-brush.

Degreasing before applying the enamel of this brand, it is advisable to produce white spirit.

For priming the initial surface, the following primers are used:

  • HS-010;
  • HS-059;
  • HS-068.
HS-068
HS-010
HS-059

Coloring is done with rollers and brushes., if not limited to manual methods of work, pneumatic and vacuum sprayers can be used. Regardless of the method of use, paints and varnishes are thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous solution is obtained. Solvents are used to bring the mixture to working viscosity, it is also permissible for them to clean contaminated instruments and other surfaces.

Before starting work with perchlorovinyl enamel, it is required to find out what the surface temperature is. Normally, it should be at least 3 degrees higher than the dew point.

The instructions of the manufacturer indicate that the composition should be applied with at least a couple of layers, the thickness of each of them is from 60 to 100 microns. Storage of enamel should be made in a tightly closed container, remote from open fire and heat. Direct sunlight and wetting of paintwork materials are not allowed.

Prolonged storage may result in:

  • increase the viscosity of the composition;
  • the occurrence of sediment;
  • splitting of complex dyes.

It is necessary to use enamel from the opened packing within 180 days from the moment of opening.

When this period passes, the manufacturer is automatically relieved of all responsibility for the consequences of its use and further storage. Standard packaging is 25 and 50 kg, which allows you to use one package to cover the whole apartment or dimensional wall.

It is recommended to apply enamel in three or four layers.. If a varnish of the same name is used, it should be placed in a maximum of two layers. Durability and beauty of the external coating (subject to the technological requirements) are guaranteed.

Enamel XB-785 is used in dyeing:

  • industrial baths;
  • high capacity tanks;
  • facilities under construction;
  • machines and mechanisms that carry the action of water and water vapor;
  • equipment and equipment designed for high or low air temperatures;
  • electroplating industrial equipment;
  • other technological machines and mechanisms;
  • motor vehicles.

When working with the XB-785, it is necessary to put on a respirator, have a prepared and tested fire extinguisher and a sandbox ready at the ready.

For information: in rooms where dry air is guaranteed, the dew point can be neglected.But it is better to once again get advice from experienced technologists, from representatives of the manufacturer.

According to the exploitation data, the enamel calmly transfers contact with hydrogen sulfide. The static effect of the salt solution (in a concentration of 3%) does not lead to a deterioration in the quality of the coating over 48 hours; for mineral oil, this indicator is 72 hours.
